Subject: [Q-R] USING accent marks
Date: Tue, 12 Jun 2001 21:27:41 -0400

Noticed that some have been asking about making accent marks. If you
use them regularly, you should print out a chart for reference, then consult
it to get the formula for à, è, atc. Make yr chart alphabetical to make it
easier to follow.
To find all yr marks to include in yr chart, go to
Start>Programs>Accessories>Tools>Character Map. (Win98) This character map
shows you how to make boxes for quizzes , accents, fractions (¼), and many
other things in addition to French accents.
Use the numeric keypad to type in the formula number while holding down
the alt key. When the key is released, your accented letter w/be there. No
need to type in the letter first before the accent. Jerry
