Hi,
Re-reading the message below, may I add that "domestique" means "maid".
This means that Jacques Martin was at the service of Mr. Philippe Therriau,
he was his employee. They also used "Majordome" sometimes.
THe other point is "premier enfant blanc né en Acadie" means "first
caucasian
child born in Acadie".
