Good day folks

I have the sad task to announce that Carole Greenbank, the internet
contact person for the Chateauguay Valley Historical Society, died
Sunday, Jan 15, 2006 after a long battle with cancer. Many of you will
have had exchanged e-mails with her in the past couple of years since
the Society went on-line. She was a long time supporter and hard worker
for the society. She was responsible for the society's archive material
and for setting up the new CVHS Archive Center at Huntingdon. She will
be sorely missed by all who knew her and who worked with her on the
history of the region.

Escerpts from the obituary follow. The full obituary is available on
the Montreal Gazette obituary web-site.
