The earliest land records I have been able to find are at the Land Office
in Huntingdon, from about 1834 to 1841. Subsequent records are held at the
Land Office in Ste Martine. To the best of my knowledge neither lot has
been microfilmed. Both lots are indexed. Included are any records that had
anything to do with land and that includes most WILLS and many
private money transactions.

I had a look at the Québec Archives for earlier records without success,
although there are many artifacts that look promising, such as the papers
of the Seignior and the records of individual Nortaries.
