I hope your summer is going well.

There are two new individuals who would like to share information with us:
Peter McWalter of Australia and Ann Loftus. That makes our 2nd "Peter
McWalter", which was also my grandfather's name! Peter can be contacted at

I'd like to suggest that both of them send us a brief summary of their
information and we can all go from there.

I've recently received information (from www.ancestry.com ) on the Qualter
entries in the 1920 U.S. census and will post the information here. I'm
certain that this information is not all inclusive since my grandparents are
not listed, Peter and Kate Qualter, yet I have seen the microfilmed copy of
the census and found them on it. However, for those of you that don't have

If anyone would like me to look at the actual census image, which has more
details, just let me know. I'll try to post the McWalter entries later this
week.

Peter McWalter (California) snail mailed me a very comprehensive report for
a Charles Qualter, of Ballytrasna, County Galway, Ireland and married on 10
Sep 1835 to Catherine Fury. I emailed Peter to ask his permission to post
that information to this mailing list but I have not yet heard back from
him. Peter??? Are you still out there??? But if anyone wants the info,
just let me know.

Lastly, I'M GOING TO IRELAND!!!! (Sorry for yelling!) My cousin and I
leave November 2nd for a 9 day tour of Ireland. It's not the itinerary I
would have planned for myself, but the price is so cheap, I couldn't pass it
up. I'm hoping to meet Anne Harrington while I'm in Dublin.
