In 1909 the NH Genealogical Society donated its collection to the Dover
Public Library. The library has over 4000 volumnes of local and state
history in its Historical Room. The Historical Room also contains a
remarkable collection of family histories and genealogies. I found family
histories on my Shaw, Nutter, Leighton, Varney (three different books on
the Varney's), and Sarah Starbuck ancestors.
