Hi Ron,

I have been looking for a copy of the ALLEN book you mention. Could you
possibly email me with the publisher and author contact information or
information on how to purchase a copy?

Does this book mention any of the other ALLEN families of the Shenandoah?

The one unsubstantiated GEDCOM I have found has a John ALLEN b. ca 1740 with
wife Lucy and children including Reuben, George, Isaac, John and Joseph all
born between 1760 and 1790. These were all names found in Cocke Co., TN in
the early 1800's, most associated with the McKay's, Hite's, Jobe's, Fine's,
etc. of the Crooked Run, MM in Frederick/Shenandoah Co., VA. This GEDCOM
lists Reuben at least as being the Reuben of Cocke Co. with spouse and
child. Would their be any information on these people?

I am planning a trip to the Frederick and Shenandoah County Courthouses
soon. Perhaps something will turn up there.

Paul Redden
