There has been some discussion about the possibility that the father of
Hannah Worrall (if that was, in fact, her surname) was a Benjamin
Worrall. There is also the persistent connection that Hannah was the
daughter of Thomas Worrall, who married Lydia Vernon.
I have just reviewed Stewart Baldwin's excellent, 5-part series of
postings from 1997 to this list, broadly entitled, "Worrall Research
Guide". Stewart quotes Alfred R. Justice that there was a Benjamin
Worrall, an uncle of the Thomas Worrall (b. ca. 1732), above, a brother
of Thomas' father, John, and son of Peter and Elizabeth of Marple. This
Benjamin d. 1765 (two years before Hannah was born), and md. 23 4mo.
1743, Phebe Edwards. Justice also lists children Amos, Nathan, John
Aaron, and Elizabeth, all of whom were mentioned in Benjamin's will. He
does not seem to have had a son named Benjamin.
Dan, do you have any information on the Benjamin you mention in
connection with Hannah and Isaac Clendenon, such as his date of death or
parentage? I'm trying to follow the Benjamins and sort through the
possibilities--more with the thought of eliminating, if possible.
