Sandra,

It's archaic now but "ultimo" means in the last month. (sometimes
abbreviated ult.)
also, "instant" (inst) means the current month. Some of the old bosses in
the 1950s still used those terms when I held my first secretarial job.

So, William Brown and his bride were married on the 12th of November 1801.
