surmised, he was a brother of the Tamar Cox mentioned
a few days ago. He was unrelated to Jonathan E Cox who

I have been searching for information on 2 Cox families. Jonathan E. Cox
from Rich Square and Isham Cox from Randolph and Guilford Counties. Both
were active in the New Garden MM, Guilford Co. NC. Jonathan moved to
Guilford County and became head master of New Garden Boarding School. Isham
Cox saved the same school from financial ruin. I have found very little
information on either family. Jonathan is my gg-grandfather. I would like
to know if the 2 families are related and any other information you might
have. In a recent letter (Quaker Roots-D Digest V02 #18) I noticed that
Jacob Cox II m. Tamer Cox dt. William Cox & Lydia Branson Cox, living in
Guilford Co. abt. 1852. Perhaps Jacob and William are related to Jonathan or
Isham?
