Hello,
I also must step into this thread, about these families. I am not directly
descended from the Sissons, Lawton's, Tripp's, Cornell's or Sherman's,
however many of these lines are married into the FISH family line that I am
descended from that was in RI.
I have a Thomas FISH whom married a Grizzle STRANGE, and I am descended
from their son, Preserved FISH whom married Ruth COOK. If the info that I
have is correct, they had a daughter, Alice that married a Peleg SHERMAN;
they had a daughter, Grizzle that married a Jerimah LAWTON; and a daughter,
Methitable that married a William CORNELL.
The above Ruth COOK that married Preserved FISH, is supposed to be the
daughter of John COOK and Ruth SHAW and they had another dau. named
Bersheba that married a James SISSON.
I also have a TRIPP that married into the FISH family.
Will look forward to any additional info on these families...Sharon Hagler
