Eleen:
I have a wonderful book at the store, THE FRIENDLY VIRGINIANS (cost
$35 plus $3 postage and tax for Texans). It is really an interesting book.

It is a history of the early Quakers in England and their missions
to America, particularly Virginia. Isle of Wight, of course, is discussed
prominently. It discusses the histories of the meetings but does not name
ALL members of the Meeting. It is interesting to read about the migrations
from VA to MD and back each time the VA Governor wished to crack down on
dissenters.

I can also get each (each volume is probably in the $70 range. They
are thick) of Hinshaws Quaker Histories, including the one for VA and
Boddies ISLE OF WIGHT. I have not checked it, but I assume Quakers would be
covered in it.
