On 3/2/1789 at the Wrightstown monthly meeting, Bucks County, PA, testimony
was given against Ruth Hibbs (late Holmes) for consummating her marriage
contrary to the rules of Friends. Does anyone know what this means or what
Hibbs she married? Was it Mahlon? I thought the Hibbs family was an old
Quaker family.
