Good Morning Deborah,

Given your self proclaimed "new" status, I'd like to refer you to
"Professional Genealogy: A Manual for Researchers, Writers, Editors,
Lecturers, and Librarians" edited by Elizabeth Shown Mills and published
this year by Genealogical Publishing Company. I think you'll find lots of
suggestions and probably answers to lots of your questions within those
pages.

*Certified Genealogical Records Specialist (CGRS) and Certified Genealogical
Lecturer (CGL) are service marks of the Board for Certification of
Genealogists®, used under license by board-certified associates who meet
genealogical competency standards prescribed for those programs.

Hi all,

I am a new subscriber to this list and a new professional.

At this stage any advice I could get from a seasoned professional would be
great!

I'd be especially interested in hearing which professional qualifications
are the best to study for, the best places to advertise as well as basic
do's and don'ts.

Thanks

Deborah
