Hi all,
Just signed back on the list so pardon me if I didn't guess what the original
question was.
I have a 1:100,000 scale map dated 1936 of the subject area that shows
Milkomohauland (note the m), Milkowo and a much smaller group of houses called
F. Milkomo. None of these places show churches on the map but the LDS have
records for Milkowo- 1815 - 1874. The closest church on my map is at
Bismarckshohe and a little further Lubasch, which is a larger village. Lubasch
records are also available 1770's - 1880's. These records are found under
Czarnikau, Posen. Suggest you check the microfiche if the computer doesn't
give you what you need.
I was told at the LDS library that Hollander (Haulander) meant farmer. One of
the 2 spellings shows up all over this area. Sure would like a better
understanding of the meaning.
By the way I am looking for Kiso,Kisso,Kisow and Grumm in this same area.

Hope this is of some help, Art Grumm
