Hi Vanessa,
We communicated some time ago but I have got started now. What I have found is that on the wedding certificate of Arthur Charles Preece, his father has signed himself as William James Preece. Were you aware of this and will it now alter who you believe his father was? I had thought that James Preece had a brother William but I assume that this is now not the case. I do have a copy of Arthur Charles' birth certificate and his mother is Elizabeth Rouse, she was illiterate.
