Hi Blyden,
I have been looking for a POTTS family in Port Hope, thinking it might be
related to my family in Ontario. My ancestor, William Lovat POTTS, came from
County Cavan, Ireland, about 1850. His father's brother may have been a
William POTTS, also. I have found a William POTTS in the Ontario census
during the first half or so of the 1800's. Have you run across that William?
It is not your William, obviously, as he was born too late to be in the
census that early.
I would be happy to share information with you or anyone else who might have
information on Ontario POTTS families.
Joyce
