Subject: [POOL] My Y-DNA37 Submission

POOL \ POOLE Lists - Yesterday, I mailed my Y-DNA37 Submission to Family
Tree DNA. I will now very anxiously await the results.

The Release Form asked for my "Ancestor's County of Origin". I am not
certain of this. Long before I became interested in genealogy, I remember
my mother telling me that I was Dutch, Irish and German. I have no idea
which nationalities are on which side of the family. That is one of many,
many questions I would ask her if I could. She would have been 97
yesterday.

My BRICK WALL is the 1850 Polk Co., AR census. My family was in the 1850 -
1900 Polk, Sebastian and Scott Co., AR censuses. These indicate many of my
ancestors were born in IL. They further give my GG grandfather's place of
birth as NC. I do not know what his name was.

I strongly suspect that my family's surname was truncated from some other
... Pettypool, Vanderpool, etc. Perhaps, my DNA submission will shed some
light on this.
