A Loving Tribute To The Life Of Brother J. E. Ponder

During October, 1918, our Savior called our beloved brother Ed Ponder from
our
midst.

In early manhood, Brother Ponder joined the church and lived a life becoming
one of God's children.

When a young man he married Sister Anna Prince. Their lives were blessed
with
six little ones, but God saw fit to remove the father and we deeply mourn
his
loss. But looking Heavenward in fancy, we can see Bro. Ponder with open
arms
awaiting his loved ones, and we, the Church, resolve,

First, to bow in humble submission to the will of God, and strive to make
His
will ours.

Second, that in the death of Bro. Ponder, we have lost a true and faithful
member.

Third, that we extend to the bereaved family our deepest heartfelt sympathy.
May God's blessings rest on each one of them. May they live so that when
the
summons comes from on high they, like Bro. Ponder, may be ready to go.

Fourth, that a copy of these resolutions be sent to the county papers for
publication; a copy be sent to Bro. Ponder's parents and Sister Ponder's
parents, and a page left blank on our minutes to his memory.
