I still don't know who Jeremiah Sr. parents are. Pernina Polston Driggers turned out to be a daughter of Jeremiah and Nancy Gandy Polston. My great-grandmother, Arie Driggers who married Luther Polston, said she married her cousin!
A lot of the settlers in Chesterfield and Marlboro Cos were from Caswell Co., NC and there I have a family that fits with the stories my grandfather Polston told me.
I think Henry and Nancy Johnson Polston are good suspects that needs further inverstigation I believe Henry to be the son of Jeremiah Polston and Frankie Simpson of Caswell Co., NC. Henry's brother John may be a posibility as well. There was also Emanuel and Mandeville, but I believe they are too young to be our Jeremiah's father.. Jeremiah and Frankie Simpson also had a daughter Priscilla. Frankie was 28 when she died in 1778 and Jeremiah then married Elizabeth Warson May and they had children.
This would take them back to John Polston (I have the info in between) of Shrewsbury, Stropshire, England who died 24 May 1744 in Charles Co., MD.
Any help with Jeremiah's parents is most appreciated.
