Hi Rose,

My grandfather was Rafe Anthony who was born in Elmore County about 1862 and died in Montgomery County in 1944. I am looking for any descendants or ancestors of Rafe. His parents were Richard Sr.& Millie Anthony (Richard had a sister named Mary Ann Dukes). His siblings include Albert, Annie Richardson, Commodore, Delilah Williams, Jane, Peninie, Richard Jr., Robert, & William. He married twice; first wife Emma Boisow, children: Tousaint, Lee, Dollie, Charlie H., Albert, Annie Williams, Dithonia Hopkins, Emma Tony, Lucy Grayson, William. From his second wife, my grandmother, Susie Bibb Anthony, children: Irene Williams, Rafe Jr. Sylvester, Lottie McDade.

My cousin was the 1st African American Deputy Sheriff of Elmore County, Evander Anthony.

I believe Richard Sr.'s parents were Robin and Peninie Anthony, b. 1807, 1810, respectfully.

I have not run across the names you mentioned in researching my line. Please take a look at my website.

Brenda

Brebda, I am very interested in your email regarding the Anthony family of Alabama. My great great grandparents were Levy and Melinda Anthony from Tuscaloosa,AL. They had a daughter named, Rebecca who was my great grandmother. Please let me know if any of this information matches your family. I do not live in AL either and am having a hard time researching my grandfather William Lathan who was born in AL.
Thanks,
Rose Tate

Sorry. New Style is located in Elmore County, Alabama. I have many
ANTHONY relatives buried there in the church cemetery.
I am not from there, so I don't know much about the area. Thanks.

Brenda -- What county and what state was this church located? Are we to
assume that because you are in Alabama that this church you're
researching is also in Alabama? Please give us something more to go on.
