The ship lists didn't indicate whether or not they were a family group but if
these were the only MEYER passengers on this ship they may well be a family
group. You would need to find other evidence to support the family grouping.
The ship lists were only created as a means to show that non-English
passengers were willing to swear an oath of allegiance to the British crown and the
government of the Pennsylvania colonial government. You are actually lucky that
this ship list did list names of others beside males age 16 and over who were
required to take the oath. Many lists only listed these men and not other
family members--it was up to the captain.
