My experience has been that the published PA German Society translation of
the mid-1700s records is very accurate, as is the GSP translation of the
mid/late 1700s records done circa 1900. The translation of some later
records done by Rev. A.S. Leiby in the 1950s has lots of errors and
omissions. You would do best to roll up your sleeves and wade through the
original German records available on microfilm via the Family History Library
if your ancestors were likely in this church in the late 1700s through 1900,
as many of those records have never been translated.
