We need a Philadelphia memory list or a place to post them. I remember
the diving horse and the clowns who dove into the ocean at night also
their was a woman who did acrobatics on top of a flag pole, I was
their the night she passed out and one of the clowns who was a former
olympic swimmer when up and brought her down. they also had a break
away cable that they would slide towards the audience and it would
take them back to the other side. Remember seeing Jane Russell after
she made the film the Outlaw on the pier this was back in the 40's of
course. I remember going down there durning the war when the hotels
were used as hospitals for wounded soldiers and at night the boardwalk
would be blacked out and their was a lot of oil on the beachs.
