Yes, I remember playing Half Ball. Hollow White ball with little stars
on it ( we didn't have tennis balls) It would always go down the
"inglet" and one of the big kids from down the block would go and get it.
I don't know why we called the street inlet an 'inglet' but we did. For
years I really thought that's what they were, until I moved down here to
Norfolk. Then the kids here started making fun of me for saying
'inglet'. Aw, they don't know much these southern kids ;o).

I also remember the 'big' kids down the block (this was on Agate Street -
Port Richmond) would put a leg on one side of the building in the alley,
and the other foot on the other side, and climb right on up to the roof
to get the half balls that were hit up on the roof of the row houses.

This was back in the mid fifties. Am I showing my old age.
