Hi Mary,
Roy and Margaret Keiser and Sayres Memorial Church are the ones I am
interested in. But the 1930 census showing Roy and Margaret at 6111 Walton confuses
me. I know they were living in the parsonage (listed as 6101 Catherine) in
1931 and some years after that. You have done a fine job of clearing up the
location of the two addresses for me. My only guess at this point would be that
they lived at Walton Ave for some reason that they could not live at the
parsonage, perhaps having work done there. They were my aunt and uncle and every
summer I spent several weeks visiting with them as well as on all the holidays.
I was almost 5 yrs old on my first visit with them at Sayres Memorial would
have been in 1931. The parsonage was set a little back from the street than
the other house on the street. (I think) It seemed to have a little more of a
lawn in front of the house. As I remember it, the church entrance faced the
corner of 61st & Catherine.

A couple of pages along shows 6111 Catharine Street with Roy Keiser,
minister, Methodist Church and wife Margaret. The church was/is on the 700
block S. 61st Street, between Catharine St. and Walton Ave. My guess is the
parsonage was 6111 Catharine St. I can still picture the church. It was set
back from the street.
