Hi, Rick and All. It's good to be back.
I am on several of these new systems, including FB. I don't like any of
them because every body and his/her brother and sister send so much junk
mail through to me that I quit using it. If you say you know one person,
then all their "friends" are suddenly your "friends" and they start sending
you mail. The only way to stop all of it is to be sort of rude and tell
people you know, as well as those you don't, to stop sending you the junk.
I don't like to hurt anyone's feelings, so I just quit using FB and all the
others. If the list goes to FB, of course, I will probably get out there
again so I can 'chat' with whoever is there. I really prefer this 'method
of madness' because I feel I have more control.
Hugs to all.

Subject: [PD-LIFE] Something New to Consider?
How's everyone's summer going? Its been kinda quiet around here. :-)
I've been busy with my projects and everything else in general. A few days
ago, I joined Facebook after getting tired of people telling me I should be
there. I wasn't sure if I'd like it at first but now I'm really enjoying
I'm also surprised to see how many of our group is already there.
What's nice is you can place a face with a name if a picture is posted. I'm
actually toying with idea of opening a branch group of the PADUTCH-LIFE List
on there. It would give us an additional avenue to chat and communicate
better with each other. If we did this, I know of one former member of our
group who would rejoin.
This list will always be our main forum for those that prefer it, but we
could do so much more in chat on Facebook. If nterested or if you have
comments and feedback on the idea, please feel free to post to the list or
to me privately. This mailing list is great, but it obviously has its
limitations with our chat oriented group. The nice thing about a group on
Facebook is our Inboxes wouldn't fill up as fast as it does now. I know
that's been an issue in the past for some of you. That's why some moved to
Digest to cut down on e-mail.
I think it would resolve some other things that have been in the works for
awhile to enhance our group experience.
Again, I'm just toying with the idea so I don't know practical it would be.
To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to
with the word 'unsubscribe' without the
quotes in the subject and the body of the message
