I agree with Roy's opinion that Francis X Pace probably did not mean
his middle name was Xavier.
It's a beautiful and historic name but most of us Baptists never
heard of Xavier much
less name our kids for him. I also agree that the Pace name is
Italian and understand that
there are Paces in Italy today but many of us would-be Italian Paces
have been English
for several generations before becoming American.
