I have a file on the Vaughans - of Wales
This was researched for the Vaughan Family Group, based in the US,
which has well over 100 member I believe.

In it is mentioned:
Vaughans of Merthyr Tydfil descended from William; 27
Maybe this is the way to go, A Hughes fellow, did the research, He's
researched the industrial needle industry of Redditch, Worcestershire.
My Bennett folks came from there.

I've also been up to my neck in Lewis, Jones, Davies research, and other
Welsh surnames. My Pace ancestors and their kin folk came from the Welsh
Marches, Shropshire, Radnorshire, Herefordshire, Monmouthshire, etc.
I have been trying to put together three Lewis-Pace families from south
Wales that came to the US and Canada.

In 1851 several Paces of my Shropshire group, and maybe some others,
went to Iowa, then Kansas

they settled in north east Kansas but your Osage Paces were farther to
the south, of Topeka, about 60 miles.

If you're interested in your Welsh maternal ancestry, maybe I can put
you in touch with some of these research group folks in the US and UK.
