1. Of late there have been "bushels" of verbiage about using DNA to determine
lineage of the Pace "PACK". Seems a "Protocol aka Ropad Map" is necessary and
must at least answer the following questions, all intertwined and
interdependent:
a. Whot?
b. What?
c. Why?
d. When?
e. Where?
f. How?
e. Controls & dissemation of results?
2. With successful answers, there are a great number of hurdles to overcome,
providing one has the intestional fortitude to contine. Consider the
possibility your DNA Mapping has already been accomplished. There are various
agencies, facilities, etc., which might be of assistance:
a. Your medical provider and servicing labs, inquiring also as to what
agencies they have provided "substances" for further study & DNA Mapping.
b. Your medical/health insurance policy holder(s), even those who have
rejected earlier coverage. Again, asking to what agencies they have
communicated on this subject.
c. Government agencies: Suggest starting with the Dept of Justice
(Atty Genl Ashcroft) as he has the "finger" on all law enforcement records
leading to a National Data Base on all collecting archives; inquire if they
have provided their files to an agency in Brussels, Belgium, i.e. European
Union and UN as part of the "New World Order."
d. A Note of Caution as such inquiry may very well trigger a notion
for placement on a "Person of Interest List."
3. Currenty, there is a move afoot for the military to provide law
enforcement all of the collected DNA files which was amassed for
identification of casualties.
4. Seems a close study of a selected Lab's Protocol prior to heading on this
"wild ride." What is the baseline, and how is that to be determined and who
does the count of possible Pace Descendents? Maybe one should start with
legal and known offspring; finding they all match parents, then keep
proceeding backward.
a. In my research of various families, have "uncovered" one gal who
was married three times, had three fine sons who were all halfbrothers and
not one was fathered by either one of the husbands. After her death, and ole
nneighbor was aked "what w3as so interesting of the gal"? His relpy,
"availability."
5. This is a story I tell of part of my heritage:
a. There were two brothers who crossed the pond. After arrival in VA,
the elder took an Indian wife during one of his long hunter treks. The
younger became a merchant/farmer, and while the elder was away, the younger
shared the blanket with the Indian gal. On return and learing of the escape,
the elder packed, leaving his wife and went south to become a "jack leg"
preacher. The younger took the Indian gal and went west becomming a horse
thief. So, by the Grace of God, part of my ancestors rode a boat to VA while
another branch was waving to them as they landed, and I come from the western
band.
6. Basic Genealogy is the study of human from womb to tomb. Thus some degree
of medical knowledge is necessary when shaking the family tree while hoping
not too man "nuts and fruits" fall. This DNA search may lead to the "woodpile
and/or haystack, or even to Thomas Jefferson." In any event be prepared to
encounter prime candidates for study and any School of Proctology. Above
all, recall that its the same DNA Science that leads some to believe they
have ancestors and living cousins who are well cloaked, except their knuckles
where they drag the ground.
