My Herbert William Pace (grandfather) claimed the family was Welsh...
but we have no idea. I only have his father, Charles Alexander Pace,
raised in Warsaw, MO (by his paternal grandparent, Hiram Bradley and
Mary or Sarah Stanley Bradley) and his father, Andrew Pace, who was
killed before Charles was born. Grandpa also claimed there was Osage
Indian in the family, but given the bright blue eyes of the Paces, we
doubted it was more than a romantic yearning on his part.

We do know that Charles Alexander Pace married Elizabeth Ellen Lewis,
who emigrated from Wales with her parents, William Henry Lewis and
Ellen Vaughn Lewis.
