I don't know the origin of the Perkins in the name of Michael Perkins Pace.
There were three Michael Perkins Paces who were very closely related.
As to the ancestry of the John Pace, Jr. b. 1781 who married Betsy Wilkerson
(spelling corrected), he was a son of John Pace and Ann Nanny Pace. She was
probably a cousin but I don't know who her parents were.
John was a son of William Pace b. 1711 and Hannah Booten.
William was a son of John Pace of Middlesex b. abt 1662 m. Elizabeth
(Newsome). Her surname is not known with certainty.
The origin of John Pace of Middlesex has been a subject of much discussion.
