Lois:
The Jesse Pace who m. Mourning Adams was the Jesse who was son of John and
Nanny Pace of Fluvanna Co. Jesse's brothers were William B., John Jr. and
Tarleton. It is not known if this Jesse had any children.
The Jesse F. Pace b. 1825 was a son of Jesse Pace, Jr b. abt 1788 and
Catharine from Goochland Co.

In regard to John Hartwell Pace, there were three Hartwell Paces in Virginia
in the early 1800's. Their ancestry is known but not their descendants.
Could be a connection here. Do you have any dates or spouses for John
Hartwell and his sons Walter W. and John Floyd Pace? Any census record?
