On the 1910 census for Fluvanna there is a
Louisa J. Cosby listed as a boarder(age 88) from Ala. with
the family of O.A.PACE,along with my mother and
sisters if I recall correctly.O.A.PACE (Overton Ashley or
Ashley). He was killed on December 25, 1910.My
grandfather John Walker Pace had died earlier in the year
I believe.

The question is this: my mother was born 1893
Vera Walker Pace- She always talked about her
Aunt Fannie( a school teacher,who lived with them)
Could this Louisa J. Cosby be a Louisa J Pace living
with the Elizabeth on the 1850 census.Could she
have married a Cosby ,lived in Alabama and returned
to Virginia before 1910.. She is the only Cosby
connection I have ever heard of in my family. There
was talk of a Cosby household nearby,but I don't
know where.There were a lot in Louisa County.
Now my maternal grgrandfather was David C.Robinson
He was the father-in-law of John Walker Pace,father
of Rebecca Ann Robinson. His sons from a previous
marriage to Mary Hodges in 1813 in Goochland are
on the Fluvanna 1850 census. He is shown as
David Robinson Sr.,living with David Robinson Jr.
He married Mary Herndon in Fluvanna in 1852.
Rebecca was born in 1853. Perhaps his middle
initial(C) is from a Cosby connection. All I
know about him is his first appearance in
Goochland in 1812 or 1813 when he enlisted
in the war of 1812. So was Aunt Fanny(maybe
Louisa J. Cosby from the Robinson side of
the family) or is she possibly the Louisa J. Pace'
living with Elizabeth Pace on the 1850 census.

The more I look at this Elizabeth I think she must
be the mother of my grgrandfather John R. Pace

Also on the 1880 census is the John Hartwell Pace
,whose grgranddaughter thinks she may be related
to my family. Her uncle Walter W. Pace,son
of John Hartwell Pace married Mary Susan Gregory
Pace(Molly) who was first married to Richard
Alphonse Pace,son of John R. Pace.
Mary Susan and Richard alphonse had the
following children:
Bessie Pace married Grover Failes and died in
Charlottesville on May 1987,aged 98.
Nancy Pace married a Breeden and a Wilkinson
died in Richmond, is buried inCharlottesville
Charles Pace- dont know who he married, had a son'
Joseph Gregory, whose son Charles Pace now lives in Charlottesville.

Mary Susan and Walter W. had a son Frank H. Pace
