Betty:
I have the children of Alsey Pace and Zilpha Hall (of Johnston Co, NC) as:
Abner b. 1821, Wiseman b. 1825, Noah b. 1828, Needham b. 1829, Madison b.
1830, Lively (female) b. abt 1831, Young b. 1834 and David b. 1836.
For the children of Alsey Pace and Cassandra Dean I have David b. 1840,
Harriet b. 1842, Obedience b. 1845, Rhinison b. 1847 and Sally b. 1850.
I am not sure that Noah and Madison were his sons. This may be based only on
their proximity in census records. If these were the same Alsey it seems odd
that he would name his last child by his first wife David and name the first
child by his second wife David. It appears to be clear that these were two
different Davids.

I think that Zilpha (Hall) Pace was listed as head of household in the 1830
census (Wake or Johnston Co.) and in the 1840 census of Johnston Co. But I
haven't seen the details of these census records. That information would
help to confirm or refute that they had this many children.
