Abraham Bercaw of Adams County, PA, and later Defiance County, Ohio

Previous research into the Bercaw family of Adams County attributes this
man as a son of my ancestor John Bercaw (1795-1876). I see no reason to
discredit this theory. Based on proximity and name associations, this
Abraham Bercaw fits perfectly as John Bercaw’s eldest son. Further
research is necessary, but this Abraham migrated to Defiance County,
Ohio, where a George Bercaw and William Bercaw, probable brothers, also
can be found, as well as a probable uncle (another Abraham Bercaw, born
in 1802).
