Hi,
I am not Paul, but, yes, he is related to the Newell's of Bradford County.
How are you connected to them?
I don't have direct Newell ancestors, but have some indirect connections.
Peggy Spencer researching families of Armenia Mountain, Bradford and Tioga
Counties, PA.
My Newell ancestors, Lewis and Caroline WEBLER Newell, migrated from
northeastern CT to Armenia Mountain ca 1835. Lewis began the construction of a
sawmill on Tamarack Creek and then abandoned the project and removed to
Maryland where he helped construct the C&O Canal. By 1860 he was back on
Armenia where he and Caroline settled with their younger children. The Newell and
Webler families resided near Sherman's Corners where the sawmill/
gristmill was located.
