I am new to this list and did not find any information on Margaret
Overshiner in the archives, so I am posting this notice in hopes that
someone may be able to provide information.



I am looking for further information on Margaret Overshiner (b. 1803 Augusta
Co VA-d. 1897 Monroe Co IN) who married William Riley Chandler Sr. in
Washington County IN 18 Jan 1822. I believe that she may be a sister of
Gideon Overshiner who lived in Christian Co KY from about 1814 until his
death about 1866. She is possibly an aunt to Isaac Overshiner who lived in
Washington Co IN where he married Mary Barnett. I have information that
says that Isaac was born in 1800 in Augusta Co VA and that his father died
before 1814 when Isaac went with his uncle Gideon to live in Christian Co
KY. I believe that Gideon married Barbara Campbell in Rockingham Co VA in
1814 just before his move to KY.

Can anyone provide me with further information on the Overshiner family and
the various relationships? I would especially like to know Margaret's
parents and siblings and her proven relationship to both Gideon and Isaac
Overshiner.
