Enlisted at Lima, Co.F. 151st Ohio Volunteer Infantry and later Co. B. 192nd
Ohio Vol. under Col. Butterfield. e was in the Battles of Fort Beards, Fort
Sumner, Fort Keno, Rockville and others, and discharged in Aug 1864 at
Shenandoah Valley.
Aaron returned to Allen County and purchased 143 acres in Perry Twp. A
Republican, he was elected in 1893 county Commissioner. A member of G.A.R.
post of Westminister and Mart Armstrong, post #202, of Lima, Ohio. A member
of George R. Taylor's command, #8
U.V.U. department of Ohio of Auglaize Grange #347 P. of H.
They were Methodist faith.
