Michael,

My interest in this list goes back to the Orphan Train Era. My grandfather John Leahy and his sister Mary were in the New York Juvenile Asylum. John and Mary were both sent on the Orphan Train. Two more siblings, Julia and Jennie were in an orphanage as well but I have yet to discover which one.

I have been trying to get the orphanage records for the past three years...so far I've been unsuccessful. I am interested in knowing if anyone else has been able to recover records from the NYJA.
