An obit of William Meyer stated that he had a brother in oregon...
Jurgen Heinrich Frederick Meyer came about 1867-1869 settled in Tete des Morts, Jackson county, Iowa. Perhaps his brother with unknown name came then. Fred moved to Churdan area of iowa and married by 1882 to Mary Schenk.
Juergen Heinrich Wilhelm Meyer came 1884 to Lohrville, Iowa. After four years he moved to Reading, township in Calhoun county area. One village often refered to was Farnhamville. It is his orbit in 1929 that said he had two sisters and one brother in germany. It also said he had one brother in Oregon. Sisters married names are Margret Stille, Doris or Dora Koenig, Schmobel [ shipping busines] Mary Fehring. a couple other sisters..??.
Maternal names Luhmann, Heins, Schenk, Rickens,Michels, Michaels,Ahrens. Home regions in germany are Oldendorf/Nahrendorf by 'Rothen' and Radenbeck. Williams wife Heins came from Begen area of Celle.
My grandfather was Herman Meyer and his brother William moved to Minnesota in early 1910.
I would appreciate any leads.
