I have gotten tons of wonderful information through this list, and I thank
the MANY kind and generous volunteers who have been so helpful! I am asking
for some additional help. I can't seem to find the death dates and places and
burial places of two of my main characters in this family search. My gg
grandparents, Enoch and Mary Thompson were in Brownsville for the 1870 and
1880 census. I can't imagine that they left the area in their old age, as
they had children and grandchildren still living there. In 1880, Enoch was 74.
Interestingly, I have been fortunate enough to find out that Enoch's sister
was Orpha Thompson Richardson (wife of John Griffin Richardson), who
emigrated from IL to Linn Co. in 1851 along with a large group of children
and grandchildren, as well as some of her husband's siblings and their
children...and perhaps other family and friends. Sure would like to find out
about the wagon train they were part of!
Anyway, any help with Enoch and Mary Thompson's death information would
certainly be appreciated.
