Larry Brown

Larry Brown of Pescadero, Calif., died unexpectedly March 7, 2011, at his home. He was 59.

Larry was born in Pescadero and later moved with his family to Lincoln City. He attended Delake and Oceanlake Elementary Schools and graduated from Taft High School in 1970. He attended Linfield College in McMinnville, Ore., then began helping his mother run the family rock and shell store business in Lincoln City. He relocated to Pescadero in 1971 and began a 25-year career with Sears, Roebuck and Company as a mechanical service technician.

Larry was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed anything that had to do with family or friends. He especially enjoyed working on his computer and spoiling his pets. Larry was an avid photographer who memorialized family events in photos. He was very knowledgeable and the resource of answers on may subjects to family and friends. Larry enjoyed helping others and could always be counted on when asked.

He was looking forward to his daughter's wedding in May. He was very proud of his three children. He was always happy and could get others to smile and laugh with his quick wit. Larry enjoyed movies, books, country music and his sports teams, the San Francisco Giants and 49ers.

Survivors include his loving wife of 37 years Socorro; his children, Patrick, David, and Selena; his granddaughter Jessica; brothers, Loren (Rochelle) and Darrel (Sarah); sister Dorothy (Don); and many nieces and nephews, in-laws and his pets, Charlie, Becky and Bella.

His mother Frances Brown and father Willis Brown died earlier.

Larry will be dearly missed by his many loving family and friends.

Services have been held.
