Dian Lorainne Borden

Dian Lorainne Borden, 60, of Newport died of cancer May 1, 2005 in Newport. She was born to parents Geter and Luciel (Neal) McKinney Dec. 27, 1944 in Lebanon, Ore.

She graduated from Toledo High School in 1962. She was a lifelong resident of Lincoln County. She grew up in Toledo, and married Neil Borden in Newport in 1962. She moved to Siletz in 1963 and lived there until 1973 when she moved to Newport.

She enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Jeff Borden of Siletz; daughter, Kim Pederson of Siletz; sisters, Donna Reedy, and Delores Layton of Salem; brothers, Darrell McKinney of Salem, and Delbert McKinney of Tennessee; special friend, Neil Borden of Siletz; eight grandchildren; and 10 nieces and nephews.

No memorial services are planned. Bateman Funeral Home in Newport is handling arrangements.
