Looks like you have been reading about the Potts descendancy in Thomas
Maxwell Potts' erroneous publication: THE POTTS FAMILY IN GREAT BRITAIN AND AMERICA
The Thomas Potts of Germantown to which you refer was born 1660 in Wales,
married Judith Smith, and they had one child, Thomas Potts, b. 1713 in Bristol
Twp., Bucks Co., Germantown, PA.
For an accurate descendancy, read MEMORIAL OF THOMAS POTTS, JR., by Mrs.
Thomas Potts James (1874).
