There is something about your post, that makes me think that I was writing of this family of Op De Graff, way back when this was a private list (before becoming part of the Rootsweb Mailing List). This was in connection with my Quaker MENDENHALLs & Allied Families of Chester County, PA --the Op De Graff or variation of name with ties to a family that migrated around PA/NY border. My post to ORIGINAL-23 predated any found 2000 & on in the ARCHVES listed below. I shall check my files as time permits and get back to you, if possible.

This list has always facinated me. I lived in Montgomery County, PA for quite a number of years; and would take the Chestnut Hill Local (train) to Center City (town) with travel through Germantown.
