This may be a negative, but my Great Grandfather was a Terence O'Regan from Tralee, where he was the manager of the cattle market. My Grandfather, Jeremiah O'Regan, was however from Terence's first marriage and he appears to have been disinherited after Terence remarried. Jeremiah was born in 1877, so the timings for Patrick look about right. If any of this connects, we do have a photograph of Terence in the family.
