Here is a Naturalization ( application for Citizen) in Astoria, Oregon Clatsop county, for
Kemppainen, Matti Tomson 7/35 . This number means volume seven page 35. The actual record can be ordered from the clatsop county court house,in Astoria.

I wonder if he changed his last name to Tomson??
