Kenneth, We had our annual Oram family reunion this past weekend and I found
some pieces to the puzzle. Originally I had told you I didn't know where in
the UK this family was from and it seems we're from Waltham Abbey!!! Henry
(possibly Harry) and his wife, Louisa Madams Oram emigrated sometime after
1854 (the year Henry J was born) and the next child, Albert, was born in the
States in 1856. I understand that Harry owned/ran a foundry in Waltham
Abbey . With that further information can you check civil records for his
birthdate or any other information??? Or direct me to further information???
