Hi Connie,

I just googled the street address and they are just small houses and there
is no #167 on Peel now.

Have you tried to get in touch with the library? I find them very useful
when looking up more current info, they usually have old phone books and
street directories and newspapers. They just built a brand new one in
Collingwood.

Hi.....have no idea where brother is buried or where he passed away.
Yes him and grandma where not together because apparently Robert James was
in a reformatory around 1936.
I actually paid for the long form of his death certificate and it showed
that his primary residence was 167 Peel street, not sure if same address as
his brother?
The funeral home I spoke to them and their records are very sketchy at
best....but said burial was "proposed" in stayner...and they have no other
information in regards to where he would be buried.

Can you tell me what this means........Searched Ontario Cemetery Finding
Aid:  for Robert James McCARTNEY

McCARTNEY, Robert J.                      Crown Wellington
Puslinch WE-4372

......"crown" ...do you think this is because he was in a
reformatory.....note that I have not been able to confirm that he was in a
reformatory but what paper work and tales all point to he was....don't know
what the name of the reformatory was back in 1936 .....goven'mt agencies
have not been very helpful here....

The 18 McCartneys at Stayner Union are my Aunts and Uncles, which are Robert
James' sons and daughter in laws....also Ezzela his ex....is buried with her
"husband" jack Wheeler......

Yes I do have a copy of Robert and Ezzela marriage certificate......

Many thanks!!!
Connie

Hi,  Do you know where brother William McCARTNEY lived.?  Where he passed
away?
Body of Robert James McCARTNEY was claimed by his brother ?
There should be paperwork re release of the body.

You have the Death Certificate? is this the short form? or the Registration
of Deaht?
Registration of Death - will show all personal information required at the
time - also will show
name and address of Funeral home.
Funeral Home Will have Records -  should know what happened to the body.

Perhaps buried in the same grave as another family member.  Perhaps
cremated?
Do you know Where parents / other siblings may be buried?
